Located on a 200-acre site, J.B. Hunt Park has paved trails totaling 3 miles and connected off-road bike paths. It’s adjacent to Lake Springdale and the Razorback Regional Greenway.
This park is a great place to spend a weekend with the family. It offers a variety of activities, including a pond stocked for fishing and a trail that circles the lake.
There are also multiple tennis courts, a playground and a rentable pavilion. There’s also a 0.75-mile paved trail and a dog park.
For a little more adventure, head to War Eagle Cavern, which offers guided tours and panning for gems. Or stop by the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History for a look at the region’s history. There’s also the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, where you can learn about nature and enjoy a butterfly house.

The city has begun work on an extension of the Spring Creek Trail that will connect the Hunt nature center to North 40th Street. The trail will run south from the center for about 5 miles and connect with trails built by Fayetteville at Lake Fayetteville, said Ryan Carr, assistant director of the city’s engineering department.
The city has also hired a new active transportation planner to help with trail and sidewalk planning.
